Do I have to enroll with CHAMPVA to see these patients?
No enrollment and no network contract. If you accept Medicare assignment you can bill CHAMPVA today: electronic claims go to payer ID 84146 through the Optum Insight clearinghouse, eligibility is verified around the clock at 888-820-1756, and provider support is at 800-733-8387. CHAMPVA pays at rates tied to Medicare.
What does paying actually add?
A clickable link to your own website, a description in your own words, a highlighted card, and accepting-new-patients and telehealth flags. Federal registry data carries none of those, which is why a free listing cannot show them. Your name, specialty, address, and phone stay listed free either way.
What does Featured placement include?
One of three labeled spots at the top of your city page, above all standard listings, plus a highlighted card with your website link and photo. Featured spots are clearly labeled as advertising, and your CHAMPVA verification is never for sale.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Paid placements are month to month with no contract, and the link to cancel is in your Stripe receipt. Founding-practice pricing stays locked as long as your subscription stays active.
What will my card statement say?

Your statement may also show the name of the registered business that operates ChampvaDoctors.com along with several other veteran and family resources, rather than the site name itself. Your emailed receipt always names your plan, so an unfamiliar business name is easy to match up.
